Leavenworth, WA Weekend Getaway

^Showing mom there’s a bug on the floor, there were stink bugs all over the cabin! He was pretty freaked out (I didn’t love them either) because he thought they were spiders. Justin taught him to say “hi bug” so he wouldn’t be so scared, it was so cute! He was still pretty scared and we had a hard time getting him to walk on the floor, but now whenever he sees a bug, inside or out, he always says “hi bug!”.

^All that sledding made it pretty easy to get them to take naps!

^Justin kept sitting them in the huge walls of snow on the sides of the driveway, it was hilarious! She’s not laughing in this picture but they were cracking up!

^Even after all our attempts to stay “unplugged”, she still managed to find an iPad!

^This is where he was a large portion of the weekend, scraping the snow down from piles that had mounded up, I think he liked doing that even more than sledding!

^Biggest bear ever! I’m surprised they didn’t try to run away with it!

We had so much fun staying in Leavenworth for a long weekend getaway! We only got a light dusting of snow at home this year and we really wanted the kids to get a chance to play in it, so we thought why not go to the snow if it’s not coming to us? It was Stormy and Everly’s first time sledding and they LOVED IT!!! It’s been years since we’ve been too, really makes you feel like a kid again! We stayed in the cutest cabin that Justin found on VRBO (seriously the best way to go), it was all decked out in super cute vintage antiques and even had some toys for the kids! …best part, NO TV! So nice to REALLY get away sometimes.

I had a super hard time narrowing down these photos, there were so many since we were there 4 days….almost 1000! Okay so maybe I have an overshooting problem (don’t wanna miss anything, am I right? 😉 ), but even though I posted a ton I still did pretty good right?
