Mommy and Me Matching Mohawk Hairdo

I do my hair in this faux hawk updo pretty often (you may have noticed from my profile pic and Instagram page) …maybe even a little too often. But it’s one of those hairdo’s that looks like it took a long time when it’s actually very quick and easy, therefore it has become my go to. Besides that, a basic topknot looks TERRIBLE on me, I think it may be due to my large head. I tend to gravitate towards bigger hairstyles that will hopefully compensate for this noggin of mine, haha, good theory right? So, as soon as Ev’s hair grew out long enough I just had to do this hairdo on her too! Baby hawks are seriously the cutest, and I gotta get my matchy matchy time in while I still can 😉

To replicate this faux hawk updo, just divide hair into 3-5 topknots down the middle of your head (I do 3 when I have less time and usually poof up the front of my hair), and that’s it! So easy and definitely adds that extra bit of spunk to any outfit. One of these days when I have a bit more time I’m going to try adding some braids! I’ll let you know how it turns out!
